Hello there,
Thank you so much for the shout-out. I hope you will be satisfied with the product. I don’t know how exactly your setup looked like, but I’ve got an impression as though it was recorded with a Mono Mixing mode. Am I right?
I really like your asmr channel! Your videos and audio tracks never cease to relax me 🙂
Best,
DOOS

I’m recording with the Zoom H4n and have mono mix turned off. Did it sound okay to you or could it be better? I would love to know the correct settings for the Zoom for this microphone. I love it by the way – very quiet microphone which is awesome for ASMR.

Generally it sounds very decent. I’ve just downloaded the track and took a closer look at its sound profile, and it seems to me that a sound separation between left-right audio channels should be way more expressive.
It might be that you recorded in a very small room or simply there were some large things/furnitures right next to the microphone.
Please do not forget to turn off the plug-in power option in your recorder while recordnig with a battery box. It will allow you to get a better signal to noise ratio. Also I highly recommend 96 kHz sample rate and WAV 24- bit recording format.
If you have the mono mixing turned off, and you still can’t hear a clear separation between the left and right audio channels, then most likely there is something wrong with your recorder settings. In order to solve it, you should try to play with different channel settings.
I hope it helps.
If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at contact@binauralenthusiast.com or deepoceanofsounds@gmail.com I’m always willing to help.

It was done in a small room and there was furnishings close to it so that could be it. We didn’t use the battery box for this recording. Just used the cable from the dummy head itself. Haven’t had a chance to do any more tests at this point but will take into account your recommendations above.
